Hi Wenchie,
If you figure out the Bhutan thing...take me with, please...? I want to go there too and so many other places. I have now been back in the US for 8 years! 8 years straight without leaving (I geuss in some odd sense Burning Man was leaving...)
Here is my blog (I post bits of the book thingy and stuff I have written from the forum too)
Here are some of my pics (my tat as well)
One of the big fears I had with the tattoo is that it would offend Tibetans. I was at some hot springs and I heard what sounded like Tibetan. It was a family sitting in the main tub. I went near the tub to get some cold water. I asked them where they were from. The father smiled and said..."You know where we are from...that statue on your back"...Turns out they were flattered and very excited to see Chenrezig on my back, lol.

Courtney,
One more thing that I find fascinating... Looking at all of your pictures...you seem to have the same equality of all things self that I do.
There are no levels of goodness or badness in the things that make us human. It has been such a long learning process for me not to discuss my sexuality, views, ideas, artistic appreciation, and body openly and on an equal level with small talk (which I suck at!).
I am either very quiet or really obnoxious in the eyes of others...I think :)
I think it was funny that you included the nude picture caveat in your post (I would have done the same)...I can't even begin to understand why anyone would view those pictures or anything on this blog as offensive. I think they are beautiful :)
It takes alot to explore ourselves...and understand what we "look like". I have finally started to really like my face...it actually never made sense to me until recently, lol.
Ok...now I need to undistract myself...work to be done. Taking my 7 year old to get some lunch.
Cory,
As usual things have come to me in their own sweet time. hehe. I am really starting to believe that I need to distance myself from most people around holidays! ESP if they are related to me :/
Anyway one of the things I {think} I remember is that you and I are almost EXACTLY the same age. And we have almost the same given name. Just a couple things to add to the list of improbable coincidences. Hmm what is that ship in the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy? You know the one with the improbability drive? hehe
I am STILL giggling over your dentist post. I think it feels so nice to laugh after all of the negativity recently. I think I'm actually going to stop trying to stop trying to laugh :)
Oh one other thing I wanted to ask about in your studies of patterns does it tend to be the oldest child that shows 'our' pattern? Just wondered because I'm the oldest as are my son & your daughter, who you said also exhibited 'our' pattern.
Am having the hardest time with words lately. I have the thoughts/pictures but can't get them translated well :/ I am hoping it's just a side effect of cutting back on some of the meds & I'll be able to compensate in some way soon. I'd hate to have to rely on them just to be able to get the words out:/
I do feel MUCH better in a lot of ways though since I've started letting myself be more ME :)
